Our Read
Pelican was one of the first salt-free brands sold online, and Pentair now owns it. The manual is clear about water limits and certification scope. That certification is NSF/ANSI 61 for materials, which says nothing about scale.Bottom line: A well-supported brand with clear limits. Buy it for scale control on pre-treated or city water, not for softening.
