Our Read

SpringWell’s filter is sized like its softeners and sold the same way: high flow figures, a long media life and a lifetime warranty on hardware. The contaminant claims are broad, PFAS included, and none is tied to a certification.

Bottom line: A reasonable chlorine and taste filter for city water. Don’t count on it for PFAS without a certified test.

Maker Claims vs the Record

PFAS: maker says

Removes chlorine, chloramine, PFAS, PFOA and PFOS. SpringWell CF page

On the record

No NSF/ANSI 53 or 58 PFAS reduction listing found for this system.

Our read

Unverified. For PFAS, use a filter certified for PFOA/PFOS reduction at the tap you drink from.

Chlorine: maker says

Guarantee: chlorine and chloramine below detection for 6 years or 1 million gallons. SpringWell CF page

On the record

A warranty-style guarantee, not a certification.

Our read

Plausible for catalytic carbon, but not independently certified.
